Free course with UTS. Basic Psychosocial Skills: Training for COVID-19 Responders

The Basic Psychosocial Skills: A Training for COVID-19 Responders is an online course offered by the University of Technology Sydney. The course aims to equip COVID-19 responders with the necessary psychosocial skills to support affected individuals and communities during the pandemic.

The course covers the basics of psychosocial support, including active listening, empathy, and communication skills. It also covers assessing psychosocial needs, managing stress, and providing basic psychological first aid.

The course is self-paced and consists of four modules, which can be completed in approximately four hours. It is free of charge and suitable for healthcare professionals, emergency responders, and community volunteers involved in the COVID-19 response effort.
